Abstract

Abstract

Cultural heritage is defined as "all kinds of works that are physically existing and created by humans, inherited from the past and intended to be passed on to the future for various reasons, along with the set of values belonging to a society." When cultural heritage is mentioned, one thinks of human-made artifacts (paintings, drawings, prints, mosaics, sculptures), historical monuments and buildings, as well as archaeological sites. Considering the connections cultural heritage builds between the past and the future, it is essential for young people to understand and appreciate the values of the past as a prerequisite for preserving and transmitting cultural heritage to future generations. Since learning becomes more permanent and effective as the number of senses involved increases, it is necessary to offer a variety of environments and tools in education. The use of informative visual and auditory resources can be beneficial in this context. The aim of this study is to identify the locations of cultural heritage sites in the Southeastern Anatolia Region on a map, provide video narrations through QR code applications, and thereby create opportunities for students to develop historical awareness, foster a love for history by integrating technology, and support the transmission of our cultural heritage. Within the scope of this study, the cultural heritage assets located in the cities of the Southeastern Anatolia Region will be identified, presentation texts related to their histories will be prepared, a Southeastern Anatolia map will be created and the works will be placed on this map. Photographs and videos of the artifacts will be taken, QR codes will be generated, and the prepared videos and photos will be made available for viewing via a YouTube channel.
